Happy Hippo Kindergarten and Childcare is a Family Owned and Operated Business, serving three learning communities throughout Melbourne, locations include AnnadaleBrunswick and Lovely Banks. Each service offers state-of-the-art facilities with Early Education underpinning our curriculum.

Children of all age groups have access to our programs such as cooking, gardening, language, sports and much more.

Our Educators hold all relevant qualifications from Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, through to Bachelor of Teaching Early Childhood. Our team are mandated by the Child Safe Standards this includes holding the relevant first aid qualifications, undertaking a criminal history check upon employment and regularly renewing their working with children’s checks.

Our Educators are committed to delivering the highest quality Educational Program to all children, our team are dedicated to constantly upskilling as they are always undertaking professional development throughout the year.

Enrolment Process

We invite you to complete a waitlist form by going to our website  happyhippo.net.au and clicking Register Now as outlined below. Places will be offered to families in order or priority and vacancy.

Once a place is offered, a $100 booking fee will be required to secure your place. The booking fee entitles you to a $70 account credit and a $30 welcome pack for your child consisting of a bag, a t-shirt and a hat. This will be provided on your first day of care.

Upon confirmation of your $100 booking fee being received, you will be sent an electronic link with your enrollment form to be completed, prior to your orientation commencing.

Note: please ensure you have contacted Centrelink to set up your Childcare Subsidy!

You will then need to follow the registration steps below:

  1. Click Register Now
  2. Select Location
  3. Enter your details as requested
  4. Retrieve your confirmation email
  5. Set up your child’s profile
  6. Set up booking request

Government Funding

You may be eligible to claim Child Care Subsidy (CCS). Child Care Subsidy is a payment from the Australian Government that helps you with the cost of your child care. This is based on your family’s Activity Test.

Each family must be registered with Centrelink to be eligible to receive Child Care Subsidy.

Each child and one nominated parent or guardian must have their own customer reference number (CRN) that has been linked and assessed under the ‘Activity Test’.

Commencing care without the above being completed, full fee charges will apply.
